El Norte de Castilla es un diario en español con sede en Valladolid, España. Después de Faro de Vigo, fundado en 1853, El Norte de Castilla es uno de los diarios más antiguos del país, pues sus orígenes se remontan a 1854. El periódico se remonta a 1854, cuando Mariano Pérez Mínguez y Pascual Pastor crearon El Avisador. En 1856, este periódico se fusionó con un competidor local, El Correo de Castilla[5]. El Norte de Castilla se creó en abril de 1856 por la fusión de estos dos periódicos; el primer número del nuevo periódico se publicó el 17 de octubre de 1856.
